The kiss of death.

This astonishing sculpture forms part of Barcelona’s Poblenou Cemetery.  The Kiss of Death (El Petó de la Mort in Catalan and El beso de la muerte in Spanish) dates back to 1930. A winged skeleton bestows a kiss on the lips of a handsome young man: is it ecstasy on his face or resignation? Little wonder the sculpture elicits strong and varying responses from whoever gazes upon it.

Cool tights, leggings and pants at REFUSE TO BE USUAL plus one pair of cool shoes. Mostly the shop has Lolita/Emo clothes, but there are some gems hidden in there. 

REFUSE TO BE USUAL is one of the greatest stores ever.  When I was still skinny I ordered so many outfits from them…

A lot of my shopping is done through them. They’re fantastic, and I’m plugging them because I’ve never found a store as perfect as theirs.

I really do love these analogies.

My aunt, a literature teacher, printed these out and showed them to me years ago. So why am I only laughing this hard now oh my god these are the best

Actually struggling not to laugh in the middle of my English class becaUSE THAT LAST ONE OH MY CHRIST.

I’m actually crying and I can’t tell if it’s from laughter or from my disappointment in the future of academia. 

idk what it says about my taste in literature that i wouldn’t be surprised if at least one of these was used in something i would read and enjoy

i actually think every single one of these is a really good analogy and an example of strong, funny writing. i think the second and ninth are my favorites. 

yeah, right? the 9th is particularly great, and i really love 4

they’re totally stuff real people would say. that’s not always appropriate for every story, but it definitely works sometimes

i am irrationally disappointed that people think these are bad lol, they’re p great in the right context
